The
Blue Mountain ski area is located 17 miles north of Allentown, PA,
about 75 miles from the Delaware Valley, 15 miles from the Lehigh
Valley, and 165 miles from Baltimore, MD. Located only 75 miles
from Philadelphia, Blue Mountain is the closest ski resort to the
Philadelphia metro region.
This
season Blue Mountain takes on the
challenge of allowing skiers and riders
to be on the trail while appearing to be
at the office. Both mountain lodges have
gone wireless. Bring the laptop and mix
business with pleasure. Do a run, do a
deal. For riders, the familiar pair of
terrain parks, won’t be so familiar. Sidewinder
Park and Terrain Run have
both undergone a complete facelift to
add more thrills and challenge. This
season a newly contoured Snowcross trail
will make it easy to slide from one to
the other. And for the beginning skier,
look for two uphill rides on the Valley
West teaching hill, including an
easy to handle conveyor lift. An
exciting program of NASTAR races returns
every Tuesday night and Sunday
afternoon.
