Only 45-minutes north of Winterplace, the woodland cabins and chalets at
ACE Adventure Center are great for skiers as well as vacationers searching
for winter adventure. Hiking and mountain biking on 25 miles of trails at
the center and those of the adjacent national parklands of the New River
Gorge are as splendid in winter as in the warm months. Kayaking and rock
climbing are also popular winter activities. All one-bedroom cabins and
two-bedroom chalets include hot tubs and fully-equipped kitchens. Children

Our new cabin of aromatic Appalachian logs might seem a
world-away from the bustle on the slopes at Winterplace Ski
Resort, but it's only 1.5 miles from Interstate 77 and fewer
than five minutes from the resort entrance. In the woods at the
edge of the pasture behind our farmhouse-inn, the cabin sleeps
up to eight in two bedrooms and on a queen sleeper-sofa. It
includes, a dining room, living room, a full bathroom, and a
kitchen with a microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. Rafters,
anglers, and hunters love our proximity to nearby forests and
parklands. You can also sled in the back pasture in winter or
hike through miles of highland forest around the farm. Watch
deer and wild turkey make their daily crossing to the orchard.
We're only 20 minutes from Beckley and Princeton by interstate
expressway.

Choose from 12 deluxe one-, two-, and three-bedroom log
cabins amid state and national parklands near the New River
Gorge National River. Each cabin includes a fully equipped
kitchen, a color television with cable and VCR, a telephone, a
spacious deck with a hot tub and gas grill, and central heating
and cooling. All but one feature fireplaces of native stone.
Cabin amenities include all bed linens and towels, kitchenware,
and coffee, tea, filters, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, paper

wooded parkland setting off the Midland Trail Scenic
